Transfer blanking
Transfer blanking technology allows the effective machining of
sheet metal without the typical constraints imposed by progressive
dies (compliance with stages, little flexibility of the equipment,
utilisation of the material).
This technology thus allows drawing, sizing and bending of metal
components. It is a progressive blanking methodology carried out
with independent dies, one next to the other. Special shaped grippers
feed the components forward, in synchrony with the press movement.
This technology offers a wide range of constraint-free applications.
Extremely complex components can be drawn, bent and cold-forged,
with substantial saving of raw material and labour. However, the
use of this technology is recommended only if large-scale manufacturing
volumes are envisaged, due to the high cost of equipment. |
